Humble Beginnings

In the mid-90's Mark Haugen started DJ-ing parties with 2 CD changers and 200 Watt Home theater system at houses and on campus at the University of Minnesota in Morris, MN. His vision was to provide a clean and positive alternative to the typical college party scene. By providing a fun tasteful atmosphere at events on campus and off campus Mark established a great reputation and soon after graduation began to receive phone calls from alumni wanting them to DJ their weddings.

In the fall of 1999, he decided to take this fun hobby to the next level and turn it into a business that would eventually become Beautiful Day DJs! With Mark’s gift of public relations and disciplined business sense, calls started pouring in. Since the beginning, he has performed hundreds of wedding receptions and events.
